Atlantic Prosthetics & Orthotics/ UNC
Hospitals boasts an exciting and
comprehensive residency program. We
sponsor NCOPE residency positions for
both orthotics and prosthetics. We give
residents the opportunity to see and do
all that a major hospital system has to
offer. Residents will see a wide range
of challenging patients and gain a solid
foundation in all aspects of orthotics
and prosthetics. Our residents become
adept in handling complex clinical
situations while developing very good
hand skills. Our patient population
includes a full spectrum from pediatrics
to geriatrics with all levels of
involvement. Being in a hospital setting,
we are involved in both acute and
chronic care. Our residents are treated
as full-time employees. Once qualified,
residents participate in a rotating call.
Many of our residents have stayed on
as full-time employees. We boast an
extremely high first time ABC exam
pass rate.
